Resident Dramaturg, Artistic Associate
In May of 2003, Jacqueline E. Lawton completed her MFA in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, she has worked diligently to remain actively involved in theatre as an actress, dramaturge, playwright and teaching artist. Currently, she resides in Washington DC, here she serves at the resident dramaturge for Active Cultures, African Continuum Theater Company and Journeymen Theater Ensemble. She has worked with Arena Stage, Extreme Exchange, Folger Shakespeare Library, Ford's Theater Society, the Kennedy Center, Rorschach Theater Company, Shakespeare Theater Company, Theater Alliance, Woolly Mammoth, and Young Playwrights Theater.
